Knob Noster State Park - Mo.

Sitting in Knob Noster State Park, sipping coffee and watching the squirrels.  We started our "trip for sweet corn" Wednesday afternoon.  Had to go through Branson and pick up a prescription then we headed on up Hwy 65.  The idea is to go to Iowa and find sweet corn...and to put a few "test hop" miles on our new Winnebago.  Since we got started late, we ended up stopping for the night at Nemo COE park on Pomme De Terre Lake.  Internet access was spotty there and it had been a long day so we crashed early.  Come morning and breakfast time the difference in space between this new RV and old Pumpkin became very apparent.  Yesterday we made it a leisurely drive, stopping at Truman Lake visitor center, McDonalds for lunch then on up north.  We veered off hwy 65 over to Whitman AFB to watch the B-2's landing.  On the road there, we passed a farm with "sweet corn" for sale!  I turned around and went back and we bought a dozen ears.  Then on to Whitman and since Knob Noster Park is right there, that's where we stayed.  I cut the ends off 4-5 ears of corn and zapped 'em in the microwave.  Um um!  That's all we had for supper, but that's all we wanted.  Sniff, sniff.  Um um again.  Joyce just started the breakfast bacon.  Whoops, there goes the smoke alarm.  Note to self (actually from Joyce) - take that dang thing down.
